Who is eligible to participate in this
program?
Anyone can send a referral to Western International University through the Student Referral Program. However, due to government regulations, current employees of Apollo Group and its subsidiaries and residents of the following states are not eligible at this time for participation in this referral program: Alabama, Arkansas, California, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Tennessee, Washington and Wisconsin. Active and reserve members of the military services and the National Guard may only refer potential students who hold the same or higher military rank.
What is a referral?
A referral is a person that you know who might benefit from or is interested in pursuing
a college degree.
How do my referrals qualify for a reward?
Your referral must not:
1) Have already been referred by someone else—including yourself—within the calendar year
2) Already exist in our database
3) Already be a student
You will be notified if any of your referrals do not qualify.
Why didn't my referral qualify for a reward?
Referrals that already exist in our database will not qualify for a reward. Referrals
given directly to Western International University or one of its representatives
(verbally or by email, for example) are much appreciated, yet they will not qualify
unless the referral is first entered into the Student
Referral Program Web site. Additionally, if a referral has enrolled prior to being entered
into the Student Referral Program Web site, the referral will not qualify. For additional help, please call
Rastar support at 800-221-7226, ext. 186 (ask for Jim Hepworth)
Can a referral be submitted again?
Yes, you may refer the same person again in the next referral year. A resubmitted referral must also meet the criteria mentioned in "How do I qualify for a reward?"
How do I qualify for a reward?
For you to be eligible for a reward, the person you refer must enroll and then successfully
complete the first two sessions of his or her first class at Western International University
within one year of the referral date.
How is the reward structured?
Each qualified referral who enrolls and attends the first two sessions of his or her first class within a year from
your referral date (known as a "referral year") entitles you to one Reward
Point, which you can
redeem for a gift. There are no limits as to the number of referrals you
can submit. However, please read the following limitations on the Reward Points
you can earn and redeem.
What are the reward limits?
Western International University can only allow you to redeem your Reward Points
for one gift within a one-year period. That means you can redeem your first point
as soon as you earn it or wait to see if you can earn more Reward Points (up to
a total of three points) from your eligible referrals within that referral year.
